April 21, 2019 – Thoughts by Rev Kev

It was around two in the morning, and I offered prayers for all of the families of the Mid Mon Valley. Have a Blessed Easter! We can now rejoice in our Risen Lord. We can now break those eggs and share that bread, as we use the bitter herbs and the sweetness of the chocolate. Remember, we have 50 days to celebrate and to sing Alleluia!

We are called to pray for sinners as is written in the Diary of Saint Faustina. #1397.

“The Lord said to me, the loss of each soul plunges me into mortal sadness. You always console me when you pray for sinners. The prayer most pleasing to me is prayer for conversion of sinners. Know my daughter, that this prayer is always heard and answered.”
The Sunday after Easter is named Divine Mercy Sunday, a chance to continue to celebrate the Love, Forgiveness and Grace we are celebrating in this Easter Season. Throughout this week I invite you to pray the Novena of Divine mercy, or read the story of Saint Faustina, and the gifts she has presented to us in this powerful Novena.

Come join us on Divine Mercy Sunday as we offer Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and pray the Novena at Saint Damien Parish! At 3:00 PM.
