May 26, 2019 – Thoughts by Rev Kev

Amazing, this is the last week of May – – – with Memorial Day on Monday!

Take a moment and pray for all the veterans – – – say thank you to them! Take a moment and pray for all who are in the Military and our first responders!

Remember that we will celebrate the Holy Day of Obligation this week – – – Ascension Thursday. Remember to check out all of the opportunities to celebrate this Holy Day.
Pray for the many that have graduated and begun their new chapter of life, school and work! Let us also pray for their continual safety and openness for using their gifts and talents within our parishes!

May each of you know of our gratitude for your support, prayer and kind words as Father Pat, Father Jerry and I celebrate our priestly anniversaries. May we continue to support those who may be discerning their vocation and continue to invite those young men to consider serving the church as Priests. In fact within the Diocese of Pittsburgh we will have a Relic from the Patron of all priests, Saint John Vianney. Please consider making a visit to this authentic relic at Saint Paul Cathedral, Tuesday, June 4th and Wednesday, June 5th.

Finally, remember and pray over this quote from Saint John Paul;
“There can be no Eucharist without the priesthood and there can be no priesthood without the
Eucharist.” And “the Eucharist is the heart of the Church. Where Eucharistic life flourishes,
the life of the church will blossom!!
